Drive along the open roads of the Wheatbelt Highway before checking out Hippo’s Yawn, a quirky rock that looks just like a yawning hippo (yep, really!).

Tuck into lunch at the Wildflower Shop, a great little country spot with plenty to browse.

The highlight of the day? Wave Rock – a massive, wave-shaped rock formation that’s over 2.7 billion years old. It’s a seriously cool photo op!

Then we visit Mulka’s Cave, full of ancient Aboriginal stories and rock art that give the place a magical feel.

07:45 AM – Perth CBD Pick-Up

Meet your driver-guide at selected Perth CBD pick-up locations and begin your journey into the heart of Western Australia's picturesque countryside.

09:15 AM – Historic Town of York

Arrive in the charming town of York, Western Australia’s oldest inland settlement. Enjoy free time to explore the historic streets, admire heritage buildings, and purchase morning tea or coffee at one of the local cafés (own expense).

10:00 AM – Scenic Drive Through the Wheatbelt Region

Continue through the vast Wheatbelt region, passing rolling farmland, rural communities, and classic Australian outback scenery while your guide shares stories about the area's history and agriculture.

11:45 AM – Hippo’s Yawn

Visit the fascinating Hippo’s Yawn rock formation, a naturally weathered granite outcrop that remarkably resembles a yawning hippopotamus. Enjoy time for photos and a short walk around this unique geological landmark.

12:30 PM – Lunch at the Wildflower Shop

Enjoy a relaxing lunch stop at the Wildflower Shop, a popular country venue offering local hospitality and a variety of regional products and souvenirs.

01:30 PM – Wave Rock

Arrive at the world-famous Wave Rock, one of Australia's most iconic natural landmarks. Standing approximately 15 metres high and stretching over 100 metres long, this incredible granite formation resembles a giant ocean wave frozen in time.

Enjoy ample time to explore the area, learn about the geological history of this 2.7-billion-year-old formation, and capture unforgettable photos.

03:00 PM – Mulka’s Cave

Visit the culturally significant Mulka’s Cave and discover ancient Aboriginal rock art and Dreamtime stories associated with the site. Learn about the rich Indigenous heritage of the region and the legend of Mulka.

04:00 PM – Wildflower Viewing (Seasonal)

Depending on the season and weather conditions, enjoy opportunities to view native Western Australian wildflowers that bloom throughout the Wheatbelt region.

04:30 PM – Depart for Perth

Relax and enjoy the return journey through the scenic Western Australian countryside.
